Shot by the storied photographer and activist in a first-time collaboration, the capsule is modeled by creatives orbiting the label’s collaborative circle, fulfilling Creative Director Jonny Johansson’s aim to showcase different sides of the Acne Studios universe.

In a series of raw and captivating portraits, Goldin captures the Acne Studios community in the collection, the subjects’ rich creative lives intertwining with a material that lives in tandem.

For the campaign, the design house works as its own reference—returning to its roots as a denim atelier through portraits of the label’s creative family. Now, 30 years later, Acne Studios revels in its foundational material. “Denim is the perfect canvas. We’re rooted in it. It’s a material of today that also ages and becomes something else through its story. Denim personalizes itself through wear—it becomes yours,” says Johansson in a press statement.

From artists such as Peter Schlesinger and Sandra Poulson, who have both contributed sculptural work to the label’s showrooms, to photographer Jordan Hemingway and Jonathan Lyndon-Chase, who created the runway set for Acne Studios’ SS25 show at Paris Fashion Week, each, in their own way, contribute to Acne Studios as we know it. The campaign also features actress and musician Juliette Lewis, further expanding the creative family at the heart of the collection.
