“Fashion, to me, has always been a way to tell stories,” says Erdem Moralıoglu, whose work has been extolled for its distinct translation of sartorial poetry with each collection.
In collaboration with Rizzoli, the London designer has just released a monograph exploring the past 20 years at his eponymous house.
In “ERDEM”, the title delves into the rich tapestry of historical references and cultural moments that have served as the framework of the brand’s inspiration. With a range of original materials from stunning artwork to photography captured by the likes of Juergen Teller, Steven Klein, and more, artist and muse become synonymous as the book trails two decades of design.
“This book is a story built from fabrics, feelings, real lives and imagined ones. It reflects the ideas and influences that have shaped my world over the past two decades: thoughts on creativity, glimpses into my atelier and the people, places and objects that continue to inspire me,” he continues.
