In the anime world and beyond its cultural reach, manga artist Ai Yazawa’s presence is indelible—her bold illustrative style, cult-status storytelling, and adoration for punk fashion all shape the world she built. On the 25th anniversary of Yazawa’s iconic Nana, these elements converge in a long-awaited capsule with Vivienne Westwood, whose designs are the aesthetic cornerstone of the series.

Drawing on the personal styles of the titular characters, the collaboration revives looks from the Westwood archive—pastels and pearls synonymous with the ultra-feminine Nana Komatsu, and Lochcarron tartans and edge-laden leathers worn by Nana Osaki, who today might be considered a Vivienne archivist.

The visual phenomenon of Nana remains a marker of its cultural impact, and the exclusive collection pulls directly from its pages. Both real and once imagined, specialty pieces like the chunky Pearl Necklace and Giant Orb Lighter emerge as limited rarities, bringing the early-aughts series back to life in an era where nostalgia frames our present reality.

The Vivienne Westwood x Nana collection is available now at Vivienne Westwood boutiques across Europe, the UK, and the US, as well as online at viviennewestwood.com. The collection will launch in Asia on November 14.
