Suspended in Miu Miu’s Cloudscape

Bathed in dawn’s rosy gold and twilight’s deep blue, Miu Miu’s “On Cloud Nine” campaign for Spring/Summer ’26 conjures a space between reality and reverie.

In a high-walled, windowed room perched above shifting cityscapes and endless mountains, models and house muse Olivia Rodrigo float as if weightless—an ethereal group of dreamers gazing out into the sky. The scene feels liminal, a twilight hour caught in perpetual balance.

Garments oscillate between airy and anchored. Cotton poplin and raw canvas meet aged leather and crystal-bejeweled tunics. A sturdy oversized coat is draped over a delicate floral apron, steel-tough boots tread on clouds, and utilitarian handbags hang like cargo. The wardrobe’s mix of textures—silk cloqué, lace, rough canvas—makes each outfit a poem of contrasts. It’s an industrial ballet: romantic ruffles clashing with utility straps, high fashion flirting with workwear pragmatism. The effect—a gentle revolt against glamour’s usual gravity.

This sky-high setting is the campaign’s co-star. Through Jamie Hawkesworth’s lens and Jordan Hemingway’s direction, light slides from sharp to diffuse, from pink dawn to golden dusk. Under Lotta Volkova’s styling and Christopher Simmonds’ art direction, the windowed chamber becomes a sanctuary between earth and air, industry, and idyll.

Though it feels like a fairy tale on high, the imagery carries a pragmatic edge: even in heaven, Miuccia Prada reminds us that life—and style—still demand substance. The campaign is an airy ode to contrasts, as boundless as the sky itself, yet grounded by the weight of fabric and reality.
