Miu Miu FW26: A Study in Contrasts

Closing Paris Fashion Week, Miu Miu’s Fall/Winter 2026 showcase emerged as a study in contrast—textures, forms, and states of being colliding on the runway.

Unveiled during Paris Fashion Week inside the Palais d’léna, a real moss carpet and scattered twigs transformed the space into a wild forest. The earthy landscape became the setting for bodies to wander through. Against this grand natural scenography, the collection sent out a parade of toned-down looks that clung closely to the smallness of the human form. Actors Gillian Anderson, Chloë Sevigny, and Diana Silvers marched down the runway in tiny tank dresses, shrunken washed leather jackets, and bedazzled sneakers.

Silhouettes pulled close to the body, stripped of exaggeration. Slim coats cinched high at the waist were paired with flared pants that skimmed the mossy ground. Leather jackets made a gradual transition to shaggy fur at the hem, while sporty nylon-style puffers were lined with fluffy shearling.

Fur trapper hats and sprays of jewels unified the looks. Rhinestones studded everything from pool slides and belts to embellished earrings and sheer tank tops and dresses. Claw headbands and wool-gray tulip hats appeared in place of chapeaus.

Elsewhere, the sweetness of the Miu Miu world winked through frail string bows at the chest, scalloped hemlines peaking beneath sheer dresses, and chunky mittens. Through the simplicity of fabrics and garments this season, Mrs. Prada turned the focus toward the innate strength of our bodies and minds, despite the vastness of the surrounding world.
