A.A. Spectrum SS26: A Fusion of Worlds

Across 24 poems, Tang dynasty poet Sikong Tu explores expressive contemplation and Taoist principles. Incarnating through natural motifs and textural flourishes, the spirit of his works is the starting place of A.A. Spectrum’s Spring/Summer ’26 collection entitled “A Renewal”.

The Beijing-bred and Geneva-raised label draws from musings of the past in a fluid retrospective—distilling the codes of 18th-century British romanticism and China’s visual heritage through an ultra-modern lens. When engaging these two worlds in dialogue, Brand Director Ying Zheng leaned into her love of various philosophical thinkers—as “the convergence [of ideas] is where inspiration strikes.”

Sculptural silhouettes and utilitarian details permeate the lineup, marrying A.A. Spectrum’s minimalist, high-performance ethos with a rich, storied symbolism. An artful pair of cargos evokes the brushstrokes of an ancient Chinese landscape painting, while the Vellure jacket fuses British elegance with contemporary techwear across delicate trims and feather-light construction.

A special collaboration with up-and-coming Swiss designer Sarah Bounab results in metallic keyrings that reinterpret Chinese lucky charms. “These pieces—part jewel, part talisman, part pocket sculpture—express a poetic vision of connection: linking cultures, eras, function, and emotion. They embody our wish to create objects of transmission,” says Design Director Kevin Tallon, bringing a sense of meaning into everyday life.

Tallon further meditates on the brand’s global perspective, which stands as a pillar of their DNA. “Working between Geneva, Beijing, and Shanghai, I trusted my instincts to shape a romantic, cross-cultural vision. At a time of growing nationalism and division, our brand stands for openness and exchange—because we believe the future is truly cross-cultural,” he says.
