On the eve of September 10, Valentino Beauty hosted a soirée for the ages—reviving the legendary Studio 54 to celebrate the debut of the Born in Roma 2025 Rendez-Vous Ivory Collection.
An emblem of New York City’s golden era of nightlife, Studio 54 stands as a relic of uninhibited glamour and expression from the 1970s and beyond. From iconic images of Diana Ross on the dance floor to Andy Warhol tucked in a booth, the world has only ever caught glimpses of its heyday.
For one of those yearning onlookers, stepping into Valentino’s transformed Studio 54 was like entering a fantasy. Neon lights converged with camera flashes; energies of past and present collided. Earth angels and cigarette girls beckoned with a medley of delights—chocolate, candied cigarettes, and bottles of the studded fragrance. Surprise acts included Violet Chachki’s entrancing aerial performance, while Studio 54 resident Nicky Siano spun hypnotic disco before The Dare closed the night with a set that even caught Cher’s attention.
Alongside Cher, famed Studio 54 patrons Pat Cleveland and Maripol made their homecoming to the venue. The dance floor was filled with fashion insiders, club kids, and contemporary muses, including Lenny Kravitz, Colman Domingo, FKA Twigs, and more.
