Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2026 Saint Laurent collection pulls a familiar shape forward: the Mombasa. First seen in the Spring/Summer 2002 season under then-creative director Stefano Pilati, the bag returns with an effortless yet elevated attitude 20 years on.

Shot by Glen Luchford, the campaign features Bella Hadid—with the Mombasa as the centerpiece. A defining silhouette of the early aughts, the bag has resurfaced as a coveted archival piece in recent years, and its evolution has cemented itself as a modern handbag icon.

Reissued in small, medium, and large for versatility, the 2026 versions keep the relaxed shoulder carry and natural slouch while refining the finish. Medium and large styles feature a zipped interior pocket and suede calfskin lining, finished with a leather handle.

Offered in black, rouge cabernet, santal, and dark oat, the Mombasa arrives in Courchevel leather, vintage calfskin, and pony leather, with the small size also available in dark bay leaf alligator.
