Rising from New York’s underground, Timothy Gibbons and Gabe Gordon have become fixtures of the scene. The 2025 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists are guided by expansive worlds of inspiration, and their mix of irreverent graphics and deconstructed knits breathes a queer-laced attitude into nostalgic Americana—a sensibility that runs vividly throughout their collections. Their latest Spring/Summer offering, Autoerotic, captures a feeling of lost inhibition, and with the launch of the Hardbody fragrance, that design ethos transmutes into a new sensory realm.

“Rooting the fragrance in our design references acted as a kind of creative constraint, allowing us to build a scent that evokes the precise world of Autoerotic,” said the duo, who looked to the collection’s source material as guidance for the Eau de Parfum’s composition. “We began by imagining the smells you’d associate with David Cronenberg’s Crash and Madonna’s Erotica: car shrapnel, burning rubber, latex condoms, rose petals, sweat pressed into car leather.”

Created in collaboration with Melbourne perfumer Callum Mitchell of Perdrisât, Hardbody carries a distinctly romantic edge, blending soft florals with bold metallics. The most evocative scents are often tied to a memory or moment, and Hardbody captures a transcendent one—imagining the instant where flesh and machine become one.
