ASICS and Miyake Design Studio Debut First Sneaker Collaboration

ASICS joins forces with MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO for a first-ever footwear collab: HYPER TAPING™︎.

 

 

First shown at Paris Fashion Week Men’s during the IM MEN Spring/Summer 2026 show, the sneakers rework the brand’s “ASICS Stripes” into a taping-like structure that wraps the foot.

MDS’s “taping” concept becomes literal through thick elastic bands, while a wrestling outsole extends up into the lower part of the upper for hold and stability—its structure alluding to the grip of a gecko.

 

A thin sole is paired with FLYTEFOAM PROPEL and an Ortholite® sock liner, plus cushioned tongue wings and tuned ankle contact for comfort and fit. The upper mixes different types of leather and mesh across three colorways: fluorescent green, all-black, and all-grey.
